Caring for Children and Youth with Epilepsy Webinars

The American Academy of Pediatrics’ National Coordinating Center for Epilepsy is hosting a webinar series, Caring for Children and Youth with Epilepsy: What Primary Care Providers Need to Know.  The series, developed with the organizations participating on the CYE Stakeholder Forum, will educate primary care providers on their role in diagnosing, treating, and managing children and youth with seizures.  Topics that will be covered include but are not limited to: 

• Epilepsy and Seizures Overview 
• Testing and Diagnosis  
• Comorbidities of Children and Youth with Seizures 
• Care Coordination 
• Seizure Management and Safety  
• Communicating with Schools 
• Transition
