Adolescent School-Based Health (November 2019)
The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center school-based health program is seeking a BC/BE pediatrician to split her/his time between our two largest school-based health centers, at High School for the Humanities on West 18th Street and MLK HS Campus on Amsterdam Avenue at 65th Street. The physician will provide preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and injury, management of chronic conditions, psychosocial and nutritional screening, and reproductive health care (including LARC – will train) within a NYC high school building, working together with another physician, a medical assistant, and a social worker. The position can be ten months (school-year schedule) or year-round, with the year-round physician seeing patients at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center on East 94th Street during school breaks. Because this position is high school-based, it could be a perfect fit for a physician who loves working with inner city teens and would appreciate a schedule tied to the school calendar.
Interested candidates should have some experience working with adolescents. Contact Martha Arden, MD, medical director of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center school-based health program, at Martha.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please feel free to circulate this announcement. More Information about the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center can be found at www.teenhealthcare.org.
