PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

In the COVID era, youth sports involvement has created a host of issues for the pediatric health community.  While the benefits of youth sport for mental and physical health are well known, the issues of COVID have sidelined thousands of athletes in New York state and beyond.  As we learn more about COVID-19, we are looking for ways to most effectively return all young athletes back to the field while keeping schools, communities, and families safe.  This program will explore the issues of youth sport during COVID-19 from the perspectives of sports medicine, general pediatrics, and cardiology.  Following the program, audience questions will be encouraged.  The program is free and open to all health professionals, coaches, and parents involved in youth sports.
