Meeting Description:
Every Child By Two’s webinar, Autism 101: Understanding and Communicating about Autism, will feature Alison Singer, Co-Founder and President of the Autism Science Foundation. Alison will provide an overview of autism including the most recent research regarding early diagnosis, interventions and potential causes. She will also review the CASE Method, which combines emotional and scientific talking points aimed at swaying parent’s emotional response regarding vaccines and helping them to face the issue more logically.

Alison Singer is Co-Founder and President of the Autism Science Foundation (ASF), a not-for-profit organization launched in April 2009 to support autism research. ASF supports autism research by providing funding and other assistance to scientists and organizations conducting, facilitating, publicizing and disseminating autism research. Founded by parents of children with autism, ASF also provides information about autism to the general public and serves to increase awareness of autism spectrum disorders and the needs of individuals and families affected by autism. The organization adheres to rigorous scientific standards and values.
In 2007, Ms. Singer was appointed to serve on the Federal Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee. As the mother of a child with autism and legal guardian of her adult brother with autism, Alison is a natural advocate.
Ms. Singer graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
