SUMMARY:Current Topics in Infectious Disease
DESCRIPTION:COURSE DESCRIPTION:\nThe field of infectious diseases has become increasingly visible to physicians and laymen alike owing to the emergence and re-emergence of diseases such as HIV/AIDS\, pandemic influenza and infections caused by “superbugs” such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.  New information evolves rapidly\, making it difficult for the practicing physician to remain abreast of the latest developments.  This course will provide the latest\, practical\, evidence-based information and expert opinion on the epidemiology\, diagnosis\, treatment and prevention of important infectious diseases likely to be encountered by the practicing physician.
