SUMMARY:Congenital Zika Update Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The NYC Health Department has been actively engaging health care providers on the testing and monitoring of Zika infection throughout the city.  The CDC recently came out with an interim guidance for evaluation and management for infants (attached). \nThe NYC commissioner felt this was very important to further disseminate and raise awareness.  As more pregnant women testing positive for Zika are giving birth\, the health care system\, especially pediatricians will need to continue monitoring in the first years of the infant’s life. \nTo that effort\, the NYC Department of Health has scheduled a webinar for Sept. 20th to highlight the guidance from CDC and are in the process of creating slides/talking points.  Details will be forthcoming. \n
