SUMMARY:AAP Leonard P Rome Visiting Professorship
DESCRIPTION:Save the Date\nJennifer Chao\, MD\, FAAP (Peds EM) and Christina Guillen\, MD\, FAAP (Assistant Professor of Pediatrics\, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University) were the recipients of the 2020-2021 AAP Leonard P. Rome Visiting Professorship Grant.  They will be hosting the AAP Leonard P Rome Visiting Professorship: Addressing Health Disparities and Creating Partnerships for Promoting Healthy Children and Families in Brooklyn Conference on April 22-23\, 2021. \nOne of the outcomes of their project is to create the “Child Health Disparities in Brooklyn Consortium.”  This consortium will allow them to work on common barriers and increase collaboration between community-based organizations\, Pediatricians\, Brooklyn hospitals\, social workers\, physicians\, and nurses that care for the pediatric population.  The Child Health Disparities in Brooklyn Consortium will serve as a platform to share information and resources amongst all the stakeholders mentioned above. \nA link to the Child Health Disparities in Brooklyn Consortium website will be available soon. \n
