DESCRIPTION:The 2016 AAP Legislative Conference is taking place in Washington\, DC\, April 3-5\, 2016.  There are several scholarship opportunities for AAP members! \nThis three-day advocacy conference will allow you to learn about the legislative landscape impacting children and pediatricians\, develop your advocacy skills through interactive workshops\, network with advocates from across the country\, and hear firsthand from policy experts and leaders about child health priorities. \nScholarships are available!  The AAP Committee on Federal Government Affairs\, the AAP Section on Medical Students\, Residents and Fellowship Trainees\, and the AAP Section on Early Career Physicians are offering several scholarships to AAP members in good standing to cover the cost of registration for the conference. \nApply today: If you are interested in applying for a scholarship\, please fill out an  application and submit it to LegislativeConference@aap.org by 2 p.m. CT/3 p.m. ET on Wednesday\, January 20.  Additional information on eligibility is listed in the application. \nCPTI scholarships: The AAP Community Pediatrics Training Initiative (CPTI) will support 4 pediatric faculty-resident pairs to attend the AAP Legislative Conference and then implement an educational advocacy project in collaboration with their AAP chapter.  The applications will open December 2\, 2015\, and are due January 13\, 2016.
